Governor Somsak Changtrakul said the meeting focused on how the province will adapt to the “new normal” and come up with innovations to cut down on the risk of future infections.
He added that the Khon Kaen Chamber of Commerce has come up with the KHONKAEN STOP COVID-19 application, which can, for instance, be used to book tickets, virtually queue up at a hairdressing salon or find out where Covid-19 infected persons had last visited.
Kamolpong Sanguantrakul, chairman of the chamber of commerce, said businesses in the province have to upgrade their health practices, which will be key for customers to consider if they want to buy their services or products.
He also advised businesses to embrace cashless options and delivery service, adding that his agency will help them adjust to this “new economy” landscape.
