The director of Water Operation and Management of Lampao Dam yesterday declared that the Lampao dam in Kalasin's Muang district has sufficient amount of water for all uses, despite not receiving extra water from the Dienmu storm

The dam currently holds 554.60 million cubic metres of water compared to last year's rainy season level of 615 million cubic metres. On average, there is a 252-million-cubic metre drop in water levels from last year.
The Lampao dam is responsible for supplying water to the canals and the Pao River, but is also releasing water to the Chi River to help agriculture.
Under the Lampao dam farmers have planted 305,477 fields out of the needed 306,963 fields.
"The water levels are nothing to be concerned about," said Piyapanya, the director of Water Operation and Management, "even if the amount is lower than average standards."
"This amount is definitely enough for consumption and agriculture," he added.
