Facilities provided for mourners at Sanam Luang

Tents, large projector screens, foods, as well as shuttle buses are provided for mourners coming to the Grand Palace to pay their respects to His Majesty King Bhumibol Aduyadej who passed away on Thursday.

PM's Office Minister Suwaphan Tanyuvardhana who is secretary-general of the government's newly set up command center to monitor situation said after a meeting on Sunday that the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) had set up tents at Sanam Luang for people to stay inside.
Six 4x6-metre projector sceens were also be put up to live broadcast royal ceremonies inside the Grand Palace where the people are not allowed to enter until October 28.
Sixty field doctors from Royal Thai Army Medical Department will cooperate with Public Health Ministry and stand by at Sanam Luang in case of emergency, he said.
Meanwhile, Royal Thai Armed Forces set up a kitchen to provide free foods at Sanam Luang for Thai mourners.
The Army also provided free transportation for the people travelling to the Grand Palace to sign the condolence book.
There are two routes for the shuttle buses which both will leave from Don Mueang Airport to Sanam Luang everyday from 8am-4pm.
