One2car.com seeks to expand user base to 28 million

One2car.com plans to grow its user base from 22 million to 28 million, leads from 2.8 million to 4.2 million, listings from 40,000 to 60,000 and paid dealers from 1,000 to 2,000 this year.

iCar Asia Thailand aims to turn One2Car.com from the largest online automobile classified site into a marketplace covering the complete auto journey, which includes buying, owning and selling used and new cars.
One2Car.com is one of the three websites of iCar Asia Thailand. The other two are autospinn.com and thaicar.com
Pornladda Dathratwibul, manager of iCar Asia Thailand, said the company’s plans for 2017 will focus on expanding services, building up strategic partnerships and improving user experience by ensuring a smoother journey for buyers and sellers.
“We are expanding on our vision to become the go-to one-stop service for automotive sales in Thailand.
“With that in mind, the free-to-download apps we are launching will stimulate the digital expansion of the website throughout nationwide users, as well as build on our past success,” he said.
Some of the products that will be introduced are a deal application, chat messenger, new car product and personalisation, while some of the services that will be introduced are car finance, car inspection and extended warranty.
One2car.com has signed partnerships with Thanachart Bank for dealer sponsorship and Rabbit Finance for insurance.
To improve user experience, apps for dealers are being launched and the consumers’ app is being upgraded. A chat messenger platform will allow car buyers and car dealers to connect seamlessly.
The new and upgraded apps give car buyers a notification to alert them that the car they want has listed up on the website.
New website designs will be launched along with new ranges of vehicles to improve the overall look, feel, accessibility and quality offered.
All these technology developments are aimed at increasing conversion and the volume of leads for sellers.
The One2Car app has surpassed 400,000 downloads and they are expected to jump at the launch of an upgraded version with messaging at the end of this month.
There has been a record 40,000 listings and 2.5 million website visitors monthly. The number of dealers is over 1,000 and this is projected to increase to 2,000 this year.
One2Car.com is set on providing consumers a complete journey approach to buying and owning a new or used car, whilst supporting sellers with effective sales platforms.
Growth continues to be driven forward with the last two years seeing a 100-per-cent increase in private cars being listed.
Overall listings show growth of 25 per cent, taking vehicles in One2Car.com close to 40,000 listings.
“From the existing 40,000 listed vehicles on the website, 90 per cent are used cars and 10 per cent are new cars.
“In 2017, One2car.com is targeting a 10-per-cent increase in the new cars listing after launching the new products,” she said.
The company aims to increase cars and models featured on the online marketplace as well as the market investment share, which is designed to respond to the year-on-year growth, reflecting the shift in consumer behaviour especially in this digital age.
iCar Asia Thailand is part of iCar Asia, which is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and owns and operates Asean’s No 1 network of auto portals.
Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, the company is focused on developing and operating leading auto portals in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
It is the largest and most trusted digital auto marketplace in Asean.
