Bike registrations see a slowdown in 2020

The total number of registered motorcycles saw a decline year on year in the first two months of 2020.

The number this year was 284,000, compared to 295,000 in the same period in 2019.
Of the total bikes registered, around 222,000 were Honda, 42,000 Yamaha and 2,669 Suzuki.
Total registration in March and April was expected to continually decrease due to numerous factors, such as Covid-19, slowdown in the economy, drought, and the suspended Motor Show event.
These factors have made bike makers stimulate the market by introducing new motorcycle models, styles, or colours.
Honda has released the ‘Africa Twin CRF1100L’ at Bt559,000 for standard model, and Bt699,000 for sport adventure model. The latter is being offered at a discounted price of Bt669,000 until June.
The brand has also introduced "New Rebel 500 Bobber Supreme Edition" and "New Goldwing"’, which are sold at Bt235,300 and Bt1.340 million, respectively.
