Thailand logs 10,863 new cases, 68 deaths from Covid-19

Thailand recorded 10,863 new Covid-19 cases, though fatalities dipped to 68 on Sunday. Meanwhile, 10,383 patients were discharged from hospitals upon full recovery.

The country’s total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 1,783,701 – 1,657,638 of whom have recovered, 107,790 are still in hospitals and 18,273 have died.

Separately, another 491,693 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, 537,658 their second shot and 34,368 a booster, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide to 65,202,741.

According to Worldometer, confirmed cases globally had risen to 241.17 million on Sunday, 218.41 million of whom have recovered, 17.85 million are active cases (79,131 in severe condition) and 4.91 million have died (up by 5,358).
