Thein Sein recovers from illness

Myanmar's President Thein Sein has recovered from exhaustion after taking rest for few days over the weekend, his advisor said.

“President suffered minor illness because of tiredness, but he is better now,” the adviser said on Saturday.
Thein Sein was reportedly sick of exhaustion last week due to a heavy workload. The President has a heart condition and uses a heart control machine. He reportedly travelled to Singapore recently for a new pacemaker.
Thein Sein’s health condition raised concern as he was the main driver for the on-going reform and reconciliation in the country.
After news spread out on 17 May many people phoned the President’s Office as they worried about the health of the President.
In response to enquiring about this news, a responsible person of the President’s Office said on his Facebook that the news was just a rumor and thanked for asking the health of the President.
Facebook users sent their best wish to the President and desired him to “implement welfares of the nation and the people happily and healthily.”
Thein Sein who took the helm since March 2011 won international praise for his effort to push forward reform in the country that brought Nobel Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi and her National League for Democracy to formal political position in the parliament last month.
The regime reached peace agreement with many armed ethnic groups since then and sparked hope for peace to the civil war laddered country.
Thein Sein also restructured Myanmar’s economy, therefore inflow of foreign investment began.
