Myanmar’s main trading partners are China, South Korea, Japan, India and Bangladesh.
China is its biggest trading partner, with Myanmar earning a total of US$5.27 billion (Bt162 billion) in 2010-2011 and $1.74 billion as of the end of July.
Myanmar mainly exports natural gas, jade, textiles, rice, fish, green mung beans, pigeon peas, rubber and teak. It imports petroleum products, vehicles, iron, steel, machinery, medical products, edible oil, raw materials for plastic, cement, chemical fertilisers, and machinery for electricity.
