Time magazine recently asked readers to vote for the 100 most influential people to commemorate the 10th edition of Time 100, which also includes Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Facebook co-founder March Zuckerberg, Google CEO Larry Page and Harry Potter author JK Rowling.
Time magazine first named the 100 most influential people of the 20th century in 1999 and decided to release the list of 100 most influential people annually in 2004. Twenty people from five categories – leaders and revolutionaries, builders and titans, artists and entertainers, scientists and thinkers, and heroes and icons – are selected every year in the top-100 list, according to Wikipedia.
Suu Kyi has been listed three times as Time's top 100 influential people – in 2004, 2008 and 2011.
