Telenor Myanmar has extended its network to cover 13 major divisions/states after launching its service a year ago; Mandalay, Yangon, Sagaing, Bago, Magway, Ayeyawaddy, Taninthayi, Kayin, Mon, Kachin, Shan, Kayah, and in union territory Nay Pyi Taw.

In a statement marking the first anniversary, its Chief Executive Officer Petter Furberg said that the network will be launched in Rakhine and Chin states soon.
Telenor serves more than 10 million customers as of July 2015 through a fully 3G network of 3,100 towers, and through more than 50,000 points of sale served by 114 distributors.
A key strategic focus for Telenor in Myanmar is on building an open and winning culture, based on Telenor’s way of work and company values, as part of being a preferred employer in Myanmar. “Our culture supports our aspirations of being close to customers and to the community in Myanmar. We do this by ensuring that all employees regularly participate in market activities which typically are combined with social responsibility activities.”
To commemorate the anniversary, Telenor’s management team and the employees, together with visiting members from Telenor Group’s Board of Directors, made offerings and donations at Yangon’s iconic Shwedagon Pagoda in evening.
