He says Sorrayuth normally catches some snores between morning and evening shows, but during the flood crisis he’s been either monitoring the situation from the station or out in the wet seeing it for himself, and he’s not getting enough rest.
Well, okay, Sorrayuth is the ratings magnet, but surely Pawit can spread some of that praise around for his cameramen and reporters.
Thapanee “Yam” Iedsrichai from 3Miti evening news, for example, is out there slogging through the torrents and also dropped her mobile phone in the water. As for her shoes, well, forget it.
Yam tweeted to her fans that she hadn’t had a bath in two days – which seems a funny thing to say during a flood – but that little setback has been an inspiration to her cameraman.
“Sometimes, after we’re finished, all I want is to do is take a shower and freshen up,” tweets the camera guy, “but I see Yam, and even though she’s a woman she doesn’t care about it. I feel bad if I want to excuse myself to go take a shower.”
Maybe this is what they mean about Twitter when they say “too much information”.
Very realistic
Songyos “Yong” sukmakanan, the director of “Top Secret Wairoon Pun Lan”, is impressed with young actor Patchara “Peach” Chirathiwat, who portrays entrepreneur Aitthipat “Top” kulapongvanich, inventor of the Tao Kae Noi seaweed snack.
Yong was particularly amazed with the way Peach pulled off two scenes in which he’s experimenting with the ingredients. He’s seen in the movie dancing around hot pans full of Chinese chestnuts and sea gunk.
However, says Peach, that was not acting. “I told P’ Yong that I really hurt myself and I wasn’t acting at all – it was real!” He actually has burn scars on his arms.
First the scars, Peach, then the Oscars.
