IQ less important than EQ, MQ and BQ

Re: " Our kids' IQ is down? It's the education, stupid!", Opinion, October 18.

“I have no special talents; I am only passionately curious,” Albert Einstein once said. High IQ depends more on attitude than aptitude. Imagination is intelligence having fun.
According to Forbes magazine, IQ is a less important indicator of professional success and personal achievement than your EQ, MQ and BQ. IQ tests are used to predict logical reasoning ability and technical prowess but do not reliably predict executive competence or corporate success. More important factors include your personality and ability to communicate, negotiate and lead.
Therefore, rather than simply focusing on your conventional-mindset intelligence quotient, you should also concentrate on maximising your EQ (emotional quotient), MQ (moral quotient) and BQ (body quotient). Research indicates that most people prefer to do business with someone they implicitly like and ethically trust.
EQ relates to awareness of your own feelings and perceptive sensitivity to enable others. Developing healthy, coping strategies can help strengthen relationships and reduce stress. MQ deals with integrity, responsibility, tolerance, keeping commitments and maintaining honesty, requiring energy, enthusiasm and effort. BQ largely determines your reactions, feelings, thoughts, self-confidence and resilient flexibility. Good nutrition, regular exercise and adequate rest are routine mainstays, along with striving to become a more responsive listener by experiencing the mysterious. Start each day with brain calisthenics – a mental workout.
“The person who reads too much and uses his brain too little will fall into the lazy habit of thinking.” Albert Einstein again.
