It's called aritmetic

Commerce Minister Boonsong Teriyapiron joins the growing list of Cabinet members willing to expose their incompetence in defence of their master. Is he falling on his sword to save Yingluck? He is of course correct in saying the total loss cannot be asses

The Commerce Ministry should know how much rice it bought, how much rice it has left in stock, how much money it paid out and how much money was received (and how much was passed on to the exchequer). It should know how much has been shipped abroad and how much had been dumped. If the minister cannot calculate the losses on the rice price-pledging plan, he should pass into history.
Meanwhile many farmers who “benefit” from the scheme want out because of the extra costs of storing rice and because landlords have doubled the rental fees. They call on the government to “impart knowledge” to the farmers. I could not help smiling at that.
