"Ong-Bak" and "Tom-Yum-Goong" star Thatchakorn "Tony Jaa" Yeerum has handled his Thai business and family problems by kicking them to one side and headed off to America to appear in "Fast and Furious 7".

His new manager, who signs himself as MS, announced on the actor’s Facebook page on Saturday that Jaa is now in Atlanta waiting for the shoot to commence.
“He will be feeding in photos and videos as often as he can, and he will get on the page directly when he is not shooting.” MS says “Jaaski”, as they call him now, is “incredibly excited” about being in the latest muscle-guy muscle-car movie.
“Good morning from Atlanta,” Jaa chimed in on his own website. “It’s Sunday morning here. After breakfast I’m going to see some of the city, maybe find out where a few Thai restaurants are located and take some photos. I will post a few photos tonight or tomorrow morning. Talk to you soon. TJ.” Sounds like his English has improved, or he’s got a ghostwriter.
To fans’ queries about the Hollywood film, MS says the studio, Universal, will release all the details in good time. “You will not be disappointed in the role or the range of action that Tony will do.”
Jaa’s swift departure meant he missed his daughter Chomkwan’s first birthday, but his wife Piyarat Chotiwattananon says he sent her best wishes via Skype and watched her blowing out the candles on her cake. “We already hadn’t seen each other for a week,” Pat wrote online. She admitted she’s had problems lately with Jaa’s father and brother (“those people”) and urged them not to mess with her again. Evidently there was a physical assault, details of which are not public, but don’t expect a happy family reunion anytime soon.
Meanwhile we join Sahamongkol Film in waiting to see what Universal has to share.

Dinky goes Desi
Bollywood might not have the global gloss of Hollywood, but even Tony Jaa would kill someone to have seven movies lined up there, which is what his fellow Thai actor Savika “Pinky” Chaiyadej has after a few years’ working in Chennai, India.
She’s just signed a fresh three-year contract committing her to seven more projects, Thai Rath reports. The paper quotes her manager Sudheer Kumar as saying her movie “Emo Gurram Egaraavachhu” is going to make Pinky a major star there. It’s slated for 8,000 theatres around the country. And meanwhile Pinky is on television pitching Dhevemata, the “Indian-style” Thai cosmetics.
Pinky says she’s excited that “Emo” will be shown in Thailand too. “I put a lot of effort into it. But I’m trying to find time to work in Thailand too. It might not be too hard because it takes only three to four hours to fly from India to Bangkok,” she says.
