Actress Pattaratida "Tangmo" Patcharaveerapong has finally spoken to the press about the "abrupt" end of her contract with Channel 7.

Actress Pattaratida “Tangmo” Patcharaveerapong has finally spoken to the press about the “abrupt” end of her contract with Channel 7.
The channel’s operator, BBTV, circulated a letter last Friday evening about the matter. Signed by its managing director, Palapon Somsuwan, the letter said the station and the actress had mutually agreed to end the contract. “Tangmo is now an independent actress and she is free to accept work from anyone,” it said.
The stunning formal announcement – Channel 7 has never gone public like this before over a contract termination – comes less than two weeks after Tangmo appeared at a press conference held by digital channel PPTV, for which she will star in a new series.
There, Tangmo praised Channel 7 for being understanding and open-minded enough to let her work for other outlets. “They’re so kind to let me work on this project and I owe them a great deal,” she declared.
Tangmo seemed to be labouring under the misconception that Channel 7 was “generously” letting her take jobs elsewhere, though expecting her back whenever her services were required. But Channel 7 wasn’t saying, “Sure!” It was saying, “Good bye!”
Tangmo now says there’ve been further talks on the matter and she and BBTV have come to an understanding. “I have to thank Channel 7 for the big honour,” she says. “Normally the station wouldn’t release any statement, even when something involves a superstar of the channel. They’ve also given me freedom before the deadline.”
She’s referring to the year remaining before her contract expires, and that’s likely to occur before she even completes her stint on the PPTV series.
Reading between the lines, a lot of her fans detect some bitterness on her part. But no one knows for sure what went on behind the scenes. The only thing certain is that Tangmo is unlikely to be seen on Channel 7 again anytime in the foreseeable future.

Ploy back from black

The Great Chermarn “Ploy” Boonyasak Media Blackout isn’t that dark, as it turns out.
The boycott initiated by a large swath of the press corps over the actress’ alleged shabby treatment of a reporter hasn’t had much to stop covering anyway – since she went abroad on vacation. And yet somehow Ploy was still being regularly mentioned in the hot gossip online.
“Good bye,” Ploy posted on Instagram before flying off to the United States. “Going to stay where nobody can hurt me no more. From [age] 11 to 32, it has been a tough struggle.” Hey, was Ploy thinking about quitting show business? After all, there had already been the curt post, “I don’t give a f**k.”
Ploy was on the social media regularly venting her frustration after a group of entertainment reporters decided to “ban” her from their papers and magazines after she allegedly had a row with one of their colleagues.
So the fans were getting fearful before Ploy returned home with a big bouquet of reassurances. “Don’t panic,” she said, again online. “There’s nothing more to what I wrote. There’s nothing between the lines.”
“Are you okay?” asked a reporter who must have missed the memo about the boycott. Ploy looked him over and replied, with the calm insouciance of someone who’s just had a vacation, “If I’m not okay, I must make it feel okay.”
