Surin province has advised the public to avoid Highways 224 and 2328 in three districts near the Thai-Cambodian border until the situation returns to normal.

Surin province on Tuesday (December 16) issued a notice urging the public to avoid using Highways 224 and 2328 in Kab Choeng, Phanom Dong Rak and Sangkha districts due to ongoing clashes along the Thai-Cambodian border.

The advisory covers:

  1. Highway 224 between Hin Khon junction, Khok Takhian subdistrict, Kab Choeng district, and Ta Miang subdistrict, Phanom Dong Rak district.
  2. Highway 2328 between Dan subdistrict, Kab Choeng district, and Ta Tum subdistrict, Sangkha district.

The restrictions apply from now until the situation returns to normal, and are aimed at safeguarding people’s lives and property.
