Lim Sioe Liong, formerly Indonesia's richest tycoon and founder of the country's Salim Group, passed away on Sunday in Singapore at the age of 95.

Widely known as Sudono Salim, he was one of the key business figures in Southeast Asian over the past decades. Sudono ’s son Anthony Salim took over management of Salim Group in 1992.
Sugeng Widodo, who works for Anthony, said that most of the family members were in Singapore for the funeral and to discuss what to do next. “We are still waiting for further instructions from the family,” he said on Sunday.
Sudono was known as one of late president Suharto’s closest allies during the “new order” regime. His “golden period” of business came under Suharto’s protection. Sudono went to Singapore in 1998 following the May riots that toppled Suharto from his presidential seat.
