"Chef Chumpol" leads the team of the "R-HAAN" to create Thai menus for the APEC meeting of world leaders


The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC 2022) hosted by Thailand, will host the event to welcome world leaders or representatives from 21 economic zones on this November 18-19 .

“Chef Chumpol Jangprai” leads the team “R-HAAN Restaurant”, an authentic Thai upscale style restaurant of Fine Dining has been granted 2 stars Michelin for three consecutive years, to create Thai food menus based on the concept of 'Future Food', which is one of the hottest trends in the world. The team brings innovation and creativity to invent food ingredients that help meet demands, solve food security problems in the future and sustainably reduce environmental impact.

Mr Chumpol Jangprai, Project Leader - Food Retail of Food Factors Co., Ltd., and Sustainable Food Ambassador to Feed Up @UN said Thailand was named host of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation: APEC to be held on November 18-19, a topic of engaging to the world, as in addition to cooperation among 21 world economic zones, it is also an event where Thailand will welcome national leaders and businessmen from around the world.

In view of this importance, the public and private sectors have joined hands to perform as good hosts and welcome the guests, which is an excellent opportunity for Thailand to promote and impress Thai food culture. Thailand is one of the top 15 food exporters in the world, and the APEC Forum is one of the keys to help upgrade Thailand's food market, including expanding the business from upgrading ingredients to the food of the future, which is considered a mega trend in the world with a huge value of more than 122 billion baht and could increase twofold by 2025.

Chef Chumpol Jangprai has been given an important task in managing Thai cuisine by leading the team of "R-HAAN Restaurant" by creating Thai menus and welcoming 21 leaders of ASEAN economies to the APEC meeting. However, the process of important menu preparation was also involved in supporting the government through the "APEC Future Food for Sustainability" project, which is the stage for the food competition of the future, which is in line with the concept of a conference focusing on sustainable economic development or the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green Economy) economy model, which is considered to demonstrate the Soft Power potential of Thai food, Thai ingredients, Thai food storage and global food storage in terms of environmental sustainability.
