The caravan, composed of some 4,000 migrants, mostly from Central America and Haiti, first departed on Oct. 23 from the city of Tapachula, which borders Guatemala, aiming to reach Mexico City to regularize migrants immigration status before setting off for the U.S. border.

The Commerce Ministry will roll out a caravan of 200 Blue Flag vehicles to sell consumer goods and has established two special working groups to prevent and suppress stockpiling and overpricing by retailers, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Jurin Laksanawisit after a meeting held to lay down guidelines on consumer goods as fears grow over the Covid-19 outbreak.

The Department of Internal Trade (DIT) under the Commerce Ministry will launch a caravan of 111 Blue Flag cars to sell face masks nationwide in order to alleviate the problems of expensive masks and shortage of supply.
