E20 Minis cost less

New Mini models sold in Thailand are now capable of running on E20 gasohol, so they will come with lower retail prices as a result of excise-tax benefits for alternative-fuel capability.

BMW Group Thailand president Matthias Pfalz said Mini Thailand was dedicated to following the government's policy of promoting the use of alternative fuels. Therefore, its authorised models being imported into Thailand will begin a new era for Mini of compatibility with E20 gasohol.

He said Mini Thailand would pass on the excise-tax benefits by lowering prices for all models, with immediate effect. The Mini One will cost Bt150,000 less, the Mini Cooper Bt200,000 less, and the Mini Cooper S Bt250,000 less.
