Coming with sticker prices of Bt1.3 million to Bt1.87 million, the sedan has won huge market share since its launch in 1999. More than 130,000 units have been sold, enabling it to claim more than 40 per cent of its segment.
President Kyoichi Tanada said that since the launch in Japan in August, the model had won sales of more than 13,000 units.
Higher-than-expected demand has left customers waiting two or three months for their cars.
The all-new Camry is ready for delivery to local buyers late this month, and the hybrid version next month.
Toyota also aims to ship 5,500 units to Asean countries.
The 2.5-litre model comes with an engine that enhances performance by 10 per cent and reduces energy consumption by 24 per cent compared with the old model.
