NEW ADOBE PRODUCT LAUNCH REACHES OUT TO CREATIVE PEOPLE

Adobe Systems Incorporated has unveiled the Adobe Creative Suite6 product line, a toolkit for design, Web and video professionals.

The new release of 14 CS6 applications and four Creative Suites – Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium, Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard, Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium; and Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection – will drive Adobe’s continued innovation across creative markets.

David Wadhwani, senior vice president for Digital Media at Adobe, said that designers will get a ton of innovation with CS6 with milestone release across all flagship products. With CS6, it is also introducing new products, new mobile workflows and advanced publishing capabilities that show it is laser-focused on ensuring design, Web and video pros have everything they need for the delivery of high-impact content and apps.

The release is particularly significant for Thailand, with the government promoting the concept of Creative Economy as critical to Thailand’s development. This is evident in the draft of the 11th National Development Plan and in the nine government programmes for developing creative industries that are included in the second stimulus package.

The objective of this focus on the creative economy is to establish Thailand as a creative industrial hub of Asean and to increase the share of GDP of the creative industry from 12 per cent to 20 per cent by the end of 2012. Thailand’s emphasis on the creative economy is not unique. Countries such as the United Kingdom, Singapore, China and India have all launched policies to support creativity and intellectual capital.

“Adobe’s vision is to change the world through digital experiences. This release builds on our reputation as a software innovator by empowering Thai creatives with the unprecedented ability to bring their vision to life and manage how and where it is delivered to the end audience – whether on smart phones, tablets, the desktop or through traditional media,” said Mark Phibbs, senior director marketing, Adobe Systems, Asia-Pacific. “Adobe is a leading provider of HTML tools, enabling designers to work efficiently and effectively, creating across devices and platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows Mobile or Symbian.”

The performance and workflow enhancements in Adobe Photoshop CS6, InDesign CS6 and Illustrator CS6 will result in significant time saving for print, web and mobile projects. Redesigned by and for video editors, with major performance enhancements, the tools included in Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium set a new standard in professional video.

Adobe also launched Adobe Creative Cloud in selected countries, a radical new way of providing tools and services that will change the game for creatives worldwide by providing a hub for making, sharing, and delivering creative work.

“The urge to be creative is ubiquitous, and harnessing the creative spark, in everybody from school children to creative pros, has never been more important,” said Shantanu Narayen, CEO at Adobe. “Everyone has the potential to create, and wherever, whenever inspiration strikes, Adobe will be there to help capture, refine and publish your ideas.”

Adobe Creative Suite 6 products and Adobe Creative Cloud are scheduled to be available within 30 days and can be pre-ordered now. Adobe Store prices for the Creative Suite products are expected to be Bt92,142 for CS6 Master Collection, Bt67,335for CS6 Design and Web Premium, Bt46,071for CS6 Design Standard, and Bt67,335for CS6 Production Premium.
