Bosch appliance distributor opens large showroom in Bangkok

BSH Home Appliances (Thailand), the leading distributor of Bosch products, yesterday officially opened a Bt10-million showroom for small appliances on the second floor of the Italthai Building on New Phetchaburi Road in Bangkok.

With an area of 30 square metres and displaying more than 30 small domestic appliances in more than 10 categories, the showroom is designed with a warm, homey atmosphere to add to customers’ aesthetic experience while shopping, BSH says.

Managing director Stefan Regal said that since last October when the company began marketing appliances in Thailand, there had been continuous sales growth of about 20-30 per cent per month as well as an expanding customer base, especially in Bangkok. This prompted the company to make an official opening of the showroom.

With a budget of more than Bt10 million, the project was designed to be the company’s first large showroom in Thailand after the global firm’s other Asian subsidiaries opened showrooms in important cities such as Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Regal said that this year the company would also pursue other marketing activities to reach customers in the middle and upper markets who are the targets of Bosch and affiliated brands such as Gaggenau and Siemens. These will include cooking classes with renowned chefs who will hold exclusive workshops with customers, as well as special promotions.

BSH (Thailand)’s main products are Bosch small appliances, Siemens major domestic appliances and built-in kitchen appliances, and Gaggenau premium built-in appliances.
