Axis releases new security cameras for light demanding conditions
Axis Communications Thursday launched new fixed dome network cameras offering outstanding image quality including support for wide dynamic range (WDR) with 'dynamic capture'.
AXIS P3384 Network Cameras were launched in two models for indoor and outdoor use.
They are suitable for installations close to large windows and entrances in buildings, in tunnel passages and other areas with strong variations in light. This makes the IP cameras suitable for use at airports, train stations, government and bank buildings, and for city surveillance.
The indoor AXIS P3384-V and outdoor-ready AXIS P3384-VE Network Cameras both come in vandal-resistant casings. The new fixed domes provide clear images in demanding light conditions, by applying WDR ‘dynamic capture’ of scenes with great variation in light, and Lightfinder technology to handle extreme low light scenarios.
Since they support Power over Ethernet protocol, the cameras require only one network cable to carry both power and data.
The cameras will be available in Q3 2012 at the suggested retail prices of $999 for AXIS P3384-V and $1159 for AXIS P3384-VE.
