New international car brand Qoros will make its debut in China with its first production car - the Qoros 3 Sedan - and two concepts at the 15th Shanghai International Auto Show on April 20.

The China debut for Qoros comes just a few weeks after its global premiere at the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show.
The Shanghai Auto Show will see the Qoros 3 presented to the Chinese public for the first time, and the sedan is due to go on sale in China in the second half of 2013. First sales in Europe will follow later in the year.
“I am delighted that Qoros received such positive reviews from the European media and industry at the Geneva Motor Show; indeed Qoros was one of the primary global stories from the event,” said Qoros CEO Guo Qian. “In addition, Qoros has sparked great interest among distributors and dealers worldwide, and especially in Europe, who are eager to represent the brand.
“However, the praise at the Geneva Auto Show was just a first step on our path to success. I look forward even more to our presentation at the Shanghai Auto Show, because this will be Qoros’s first appearance on a Chinese stage. We are committed to creating a distinctive auto brand, with quality as our foundation. We will bring top-level products and services to customers in China and worldwide,” concluded Guo.
To be produced in a new assembly plant in Changshu, China, the new range of Qoros models is being designed and engineered by an international team of experienced specialists and new, young automotive talent. Intelligent modular vehicle platform technology allows Qoros to create new vehicle concepts quickly and efficiently. Subsequently, additional models are planned in intervals of six-to-twelve months.
It will feature as standard an advanced infotainment system that is unique in the automotive sector. The eight-inch touchscreen was developed in-house by Qoros, with displays designed for minimal driver distraction, replacing the array of switches and buttons that blights many modern car interiors. The system features a state-of-the-art navigation system, extensive social networking connectivity and the ability for drivers to book dealer service appointments.
