A Fulbright Fellow from Carnegie Mellon University, USA, Mishra has more than 21 years of experience with Tata Motors. His extensive experience with the company includes the development of dealership networks, distribution and marketing strategies. He has till recently headed the sales and marketing of Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles in the southern region of India, playing a vital role in the growth and development of the company there.
“Thailand is an important part of Tata Motors’ international growth strategy,” Mishra said. “Tata Motors aims to enhance the company’s expansion and growth in the Asean region. Our emphasis will be to have a customer-oriented operation that is flexible and efficient.”

Tata also announced that that Abhichet Sitakalin, vice president for Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, has expressed a desire to retire at the age of 58, due to health reasons and to pursue other interests. Abhichet, who has worked for several major auto-makers in the past, joined Tata in 2007.
