Amadeus has new president for Asia-Pacific

Amadeus has announced Angel Gallego as the new president of Amadeus Asia Pacific.

He replaces David Brett, who has been with Amadeus for 23 years, 13 of them in a leadership role in the region.
Gallego described Asia-Pacific as an extremely interesting region, whose different cultures, people and economies would make it an exciting and enriching experience.
 He will direct the company’s strategy for Asia-Pacific, with a focus on distribution and new business opportunities in the region. 
 Ensuring the travel industry continues to have the latest technology to meet the increasing demands of today’s traveller in Asia-Pacific will also be a key priority.
 Holger Taubmann, senior vice president, Distribution, at Amadeus IT Group, based in Madrid, said Gallego’s strong track record would ensure Amadeus remained No 1 in Asia-Pacific.
 
Line Game exceeds 200 million downloads
Line has announced that Line Game surpassed 200 million downloads within only 14 months after the initial service release. 
 Line Game, a global gaming platform with 36 titles, offers a convenient way for users to share their gaming experiences with friends through the Line Messenger app. Its wide spectrum of game titles varies from Line’s original Line Pop character-puzzle game, with 34 million downloads, to internationally acclaimed games such as Line Wind runner, with more than 15 million downloads. 
 To celebrate the 200-million milestone, Line ran a special promotion between September 3 and 19, featuring a different Line game each day. 
 
NCR introduces APTRA Interactive Teller
NCR Corp’s new APTRA Interactive Teller is an ATM-based technology that makes everyday banking transactions easier for customers by allowing them to complete more than 95 per cent of typical branch transactions at the ATM assisted by a live remote teller, beyond operating branch hours.
 Stelios Fragkos, NCR’s vice president global sales, Financial Services, said APTRA Interactive Teller would help banks in Southeast Asia to take a new approach to grow their geographic footprint and focus on transforming their branch location into a more effective service and sales environment. 
 It will enable banks to offer after-hours full teller services in areas that are not served by branches, while taking advantage of the advanced features of NCR ATMs, such as intelligent deposit, bill pay, new-account opening and loan initiation.
