Fujitsu launches cloud services in Thailand

Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Systems Business (Thailand) have announced the Fujitsu Thailand Cloud Service, delivering private cloud environments from its data centre in this country.

This service is meant for customers who want to start small in terms of ICT (information and communications technology) resources but quickly build their capabilities, customers who want to use IT as a service without owning their own IT equipment, and customers who are newly entering the Thai market and want to hold their initial ICT investments to a minimum.
Previously, Fujitsu and FSBT have proposed cloud services from Japan or Singapore for customers in Thailand. However, the Fujitsu data centre in Thailand has been equipped to offer reliable ICT services through the Fujitsu Thailand Cloud Service.
By using this service, customers newly entering the Thai market can immediately build a stable ICT platform. These services can also be used for disaster-risk mitigation or to enable business systems to accommodate wide fluctuations in demand. They can also be used when customers in Thailand upgrade their systems or consolidate their servers.
By launching these new cloud services in Thailand, Fujitsu and FSBT hope to help customers stabilise and grow their management activities in the Asean region.
The service provides both flexible IaaS (infrastructure as a service) that can be tailored to the unique characteristics of a customer’s business, as well as SaaS (software as a service) with general-purpose business applications for that IaaS environment.
For its virtualisation platform and operational methods, the service uses the design approach and processes that Fujitsu has fine-tuned in Japan and Singapore. All of the latest technologies needed in a cloud, including the data centre, products, virtualisation and migration, are delivered at the highest levels in a vertically integrated manner.
