A total of 15,700 orders were placed for automobiles and 2,480 big bikes were sold during the event, which was held at BITEC from August 16-24 and featured autos (including trucks), motorcycles and accessories.
Jaruey Khanmanee, the chairman of the organising committee, said the event provided a strong boost for the automobile market, which fell by almost 40 per cent during the first 7 months of the year to 510,438 vehicles.
“We would like to thank everyone involved in supporting BIG Motor Sale 2014 that has written a new chapter in Thai automotive exhibition event history by creating new marketing channels for the sector,” he said.
