The Ranger pickup held onto its lead as Ford’s best-selling model in Thailand, with sales up 7.3 per cent from the previous month to 1,918. Steady demand for both manual- and automatic-transmission variants of the Ranger has driven year-to-date sales to 21,544.
Meanwhile, 605 all-new EcoSports were sold, a 4.3-per-cent increase from October, driving sales of the compact urban SUV to 5,695 so far this year.
Ford Thailand has sold 34,616 vehicles year-to-date.
“We are encouraged to see sales holding steady, and as market trends continue to pick up pace in the fourth quarter, we expect a positive outlook for December,” said managing director Yukontorn “Vickie” Wisadkosin. “We already have a strong start, given the number of bookings in the recent Motor Expo.”
Ford’s participation in the Thailand International Motor Expo included the first-ever display of the Mustang in the country – part of the company’s global celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the iconic pony car.
