Viber launches unique gaming platform

Viber has partnered with leading developers to launch Viber Games – a unique gaming platform featuring unique characters and exclusive content. Initially released in Belarus, Malaysia, Israel, Singapore and Ukraine last year, Viber Games is now available worldwide.

Michael Shmilov, Viber’s chief operation officer, said this feature is part of an ongoing enhancement of the Viber platform. The line-up features Viber Candy Mania and Viber Pop from gaming network Storm8, and Wild Luck Casino from Playtika.

The games were built using a new private interface that allows users to sign in with their Viber ID and send their friends gifts and brag about their achievements. Users will also be able to send game invites via Viber and check out what games their friends are playing. 

The games will take on the Viber brand’s look and feel, and will feature many of the characters that have already become popular staples of Viber’s Sticker Market. The games are free to download via Google Play and the App Store, while additional features will be available via in-app purchases.
