G-Able looks to big data, cloud solutions to boost growth

G-Able Group has announced its plans for this year, based on big data and cloud solutions, for 10 per cent growth this year - achieving Bt5.5 billion over last year's Bt5 billion.

Nart Liuchareon, chief executive officer of G-Able Group said that the company had reaffirmed its status as a leading IT solution provider with the focus on providing big data and cloud solutions to boost Thai business competitiveness in the global market, especially in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
Technology is playing a crucial role in competitiveness across all types of industries. Thailand is stepping into the AEC while the government works on a digital economy strategy to drive the country’s competitiveness and the better well-being of people.
Every business organisation needs more efficient solutions - not just to accommodate further growth - but also to deal with higher competition, said Nart.
He added that it was important for Thai businesses to keep pace with the latest technology, the key for them to bring their competitiveness on par with that of international rival companies.
“We are an outstanding IT solution provider for Thai businesses because we are Thai with a deep understanding of Thai customers. We are well ready to serve as their end-to-end service provider, he said.”
“Currently, we have offered several main types of services including end-to-end solutions, enterprise application solutions, infrastructure solutions, IT service management solutions, security solutions, and outsourcing services. Now we have added big data and cloud solution to our portfolio this year,” said Nart.
Overall, G-Able this year targets growth of 10 per cent to achieve a Bt5.5 billion increase from Bt5 billion last year.
Pajaree Saengcum, vice-president of G-Business, a subsidiary of G-Able Group, said big data was the trend and is the company’s focus.
“In the face of growing use of social media, such services are more popular because all organisations are starting to pay real attention to the huge piles of data out there and combine them with internal information for proper analyses.
“Social-network messages, after all, can be analysed for insight into consumer behaviour and purchase decision-making. Because such analyses can tell what will be coming and the impacts they will bring, organisations will be able to understand the situation, adjust their strategy and deliver proper response in a timely manner.” he said.
Pajaree said G-Abel’s three main services are designing big data infrastructure and analytics; consulting services related to big data strategy and data science for business solutions; and ready-to-use software that customers can use to analyse social-network messages by themselves.
G-Able Group has joined hands with King Mongkut University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and other technologies partners such as Microsoft to launch the Big Data Experience Centre to provide consulting services and share knowledge about big data.     “G-Able has begun  big data consulting services early this year. Currently, it already has eight projects from customers in IT and telecom sectors. The company aims to have at least 15 more projects this year. The priority segments for big data are financial, insurance, retailing and food industries,” said Pajaree.
Anukul Piyatananukul, general manager of Mverge, a part of the G-Able Group, said that cloud computing has now played a vital role in businesses because it allows businesses to adjust themselves fast to changes.
G-Able has offered a comprehensive range of cloud services to cover all types of businesses. On top of this, it also offers solutions for simulation-based application testing, cloud-based disaster recovery centers, and digital signage management solutions.
Currently, G-Able Cloud Computing services have  attracted 20 customers. It is expected to increase the number of customers by more than 50 per cent before the end of this year.
