Money-back guarantees at annual city used-car show

The week-long event is being held by Grand Prix International, which also stages the annual Bangkok International Motor Show, and features the latest imported models as well as high-quality used cars. 

Used vehicles purchased at the show come with a 100-per-cent money-back guarantee if they do not meet the quality standards set by the organisers, said Jaturont Komolmis, chairman of the organising committee.

“Car buyers have become more meticulous in selecting the best offers, so we have developed a new concept called ‘fresh discounts daily’, while other highlights include the ‘shock price’ campaign that puts up two used cars every day and offer them at Bt100,000 below the average market price for that particular model,” he said.

This means that a 2012 Nissan March automatic, usually priced from Bt259,000-Bt299,000, would be sold for Bt199,000, or a 2011 Mazda2 priced from Bt330,000-Bt360,000 would be offered for Bt275,000.

There will also be a special sales event with more than 100 eco-cars and pickup trucks, which are also available for test-drives. Used-car dealers present at the show include Mini Next, BMW Premium Selection, Master Certified Used Car, Wish Motor, Auto Master, Yo Rachada, Best Service, Panda Speed, and PV Auto, among others.

Meanwhile in the imported-car area, visitors get to check out the latest models from independent importers such as AG Cars, Teddy Auto, BRG, Eton, NK and TNP.

AG Cars is offering a white BMW i8 at a special price along with Porsche, Lexus and Mini models, while Teddy Auto is offering a five-year/100,000-kilometre warranty for the Toyota Alphard Hybrid, Vellfire Hybrid and Harrier Hybrid.

BRG is offering zero-interest packages for up to 48 months for selected models, while used imported cars carry six-month insurance policies.

A Mini Next promotion is offering zero interest for five years along with a two-year/40,000km warranty.
