“The Grip service centre has been created to ensure customers can get reasonable prices of the three tyre brands and [high-quality] after-sale services,” managing director Apichai Tangwongsiri said yesterday.
“It offers customers more convenience because each centre provides all segments, from [economy] tyres to high-performance tyres to suit all types of vehicles including passenger cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans, off-road vehicles, trucks and other commercial vehicles,” he said.
The company targets opening 20 Grip outlets this year and reaching 200 within the next decade.
The Grip service centres can be developed as a standalone or commercial building without a franchise fee. Based on brand identity, the company will support shop design, signage, marketing campaigns and personnel training.
The company yesterday launched seven new models: Toyo Proxes TM1, Toyo Proxes CF2, Toyo Open Country A/T II, Nitto Terra T51, Kumho Crugen HT51 and Kumho Ecsta PS91 tyres.
This year, the company is enhancing its marketing campaigns through digital and social media, especially Facebook.
It will also play a greater role in sports marketing through various programmes including circuit racing and boxing.
