Michelin’s new tire targets big motorbikes

Michelin has introduced a new tire for motorcyclists.
Michelin Power RS, offers customers a comprehensive and coherent range for all high-performance motorcycles, said the company in a press release.
Adam Storey, director of Michelin’s 2 Wheels Product Line Commercial, Asia, says that the Power RS is the newest tire in the brand’s line-up of high-performance motorcycle tires on the Thai market and has been designed in response to the growing demand for medium and big bikes.
Although the overall market for small-sized motorcycles declined last year, the market for big bikes and high-performance sport bikes remains bright and demand is growing, according to Michelin. This year, the total sales of sport and big bikes are projected to exceed 20,000 units.
The big bikes and medium size sport bikes have become more popular because of lower prices, and motorcycle manufacturers aim to capture this segment.
