Panasporn Pam Nopasri, group |director of marketing and communications for the hotelier Fico Corporation, said that through its Family and Novotel campaign and attractive marketing activities, the hotel was seeking more family visitors.
This coming Saturday it will launch a “Family Cooking and Novotel” contest along with official sponsors Gourmet & Cuisine magazine, Ocean Professional, Kani, Wasabi-O, Hippo, Royal Porcelain, AktaVite and New Zealand Natural ice cream.
For Bt2,000 per family, participants will enjoy a Saturday Brunch Family Fun Fare buffet at The Square for three people (two parents and one child), and the competition allows family members to display their culinary skills in preparing two main dishes and one dessert.
Every family will receive a number of amenities, gifts and souvenirs as well as a discount coupon good for 50 per cent off Grand Sunday Brunch at The Square.
The event will also feature a lucky draw. Participants can win vouchers for weekend brunches (Saturday Family Fun Fare and Grand Sunday Brunches) at The Square, one-year subscriptions to Gourmet & Cuisine magazine, and gift vouchers valued at Bt1,500 for use at New Zealand Natural premium-ice-cream shops.
Accor, the hotel’s operator, says it has adapted the Novotel chain to the needs of families who want low prices, especially over weekends and holiday periods. Families can get an extra room for the children at half price, free breakfast for two children under 16 years old when travelling with parents or grandparents, 5pm late checkout on Sundays, healthy children’s menus and play areas.
Novotel has formed a partnership with Kapla, a manufacturer of simple and fun construction toys. In the hotel’s play areas, children can safely create endless structures, helping to develop imagination and creativity.
Panasporn said the hotel would |also place more importance on social media as a marketing tool to engage customers. Novotel’s Facebook page has 13,000 fans, more than half of whom are Bangkokians.
“We target increasing the number of Facebook fans to 15,000 by next month. Most of our friends actively interact with our campaigns,” Panasporn said.
Located in one of Bangkok’s most vibrant and stylish locations, Novotel Bangkok Fenix Ploenchit provides 370 guestrooms, including 48 Premier Executive Club rooms and 18 suites. Ninety-one non-smoking and four disabled-access rooms are available.
The hotel expects a 60-per-cent occupancy rate this year.
