Determined to provide broader and more convenient service to its customers, Tesco Lotus has recently introduced the Money and Service Centre, a shop-in-shop concept that puts all of the company's retail and financial services into one place.

The centres, currently available at the Tesco Lotus Extra Rama IV and Bang Na stores, have received positive feedback from customers, who can enjoy easy and convenient access to all standard retail and financial services provided by Tesco Lotus – personal loans, credit cards and insurance products.
“With such positive market response, we have also decided to roll out Money and Service desks in 30 more stores this year,” Tesco Lotus director of retail services Teeravuth Suthanaseriporn said yesterday.
The company is continuing to grow its retail services into one-stop-shops for everyday life essentials from bill payment, mobile-phone top-up and bus and event ticketing through to courier and photocopying services, he said.
“From a small beginning in 2007, our bill payment transactions have increased to 5 million transactions per month, making us the biggest in the modern-trade retail industry,” he added.
The company now has the largest list of billers, including 120 major businesses covering more than 200 services, to make sure that customers can pay all their utility, telecom, financial and other bills at any check-out of over 1,000 Tesco Lotus stores around the country, he said.
“Our target is to increase the number of billers by 25 per cent by the end of this year,” said the executive.
“Our prepaid mobile-phone top-up service, which now covers all the major telecom providers in Thailand, has seen solid growth, with more than 2 million transactions per month now,” said Teeravuth.
The one-stop-shop concept has also been applied to mobile-phone services through the launch of its first Phone Shop at Tesco Lotus Extra Bang Na, offering a comprehensive range of services, including post-paid registration, device care, and handset and accessories sales.
“We will continue to introduce new services for post-paid customers, including application downloading, while continuing to expand top-up transactions,” he said.
Apart from bill payment and phone services, Tesco Lotus has worked with several major partners over the past year to offer a variety of services essential to customers’ everyday lives.
