Chairman Bauke Rouwers said yesterday that sales had been driven by the expansion of the retail industry and the company’s launches of five brands – TRESemme hair-care products, Toni & Guy hair dressing, Promax bathroom cleaner and Magnum ice cream earlier and Dove Skin now.
Unilever recently spent more than Bt3 billion on setting up a new headquarters on Rama IX Road and opening a research and development centre in Lat Krabang. The investment is in line with the company’s policy to use Thailand as a springboard to Southeast Asia.
The Unilever Group of Companies is celebrating its 80th anniversary in the Kingdom with a major campaign, the “Sustainable Living Begins at Home” project.
The initiative aims to donate 80 houses to deserving model citizens of sustainable living.
Unilever has also committed to further investing in the country to boost its business over 10 years.

“This has enabled us to grow steadily and become one of Thailand’s leading fast moving consumer goods companies, which now offers 25 popular brands of products.
“A minimum of one Unilever product is used in almost every one of Thailand’s 21 million households, with detergent, hair care, and food and ice cream among our most popular and fastest-growing brands,” he said.
