The company was founded in 2009 by a group of software developers led by Vachara Aemavat, now 33. Computerlogy specialises in software development for big enterprises and offers integration with social-media platforms.
Vachara said he helped set up Computerlogy because his dream was to create a stable, top-standard product that provided services for enterprises. After spending several years in marketing and business development, he realised that there was room in the market for his social-marketing platform.
“I left the company I was at to develop a product and service that would serve not just Thai firms, but also companies overseas,” Vachara said.
Computerlogy began by developing software for enterprises in finance and banking sectors and later gathered enough knowledge to develop SocialEnable.
He added that social media were growing at an explosive rate and fast becoming an important marketing tool for many brands.
Social media
“We would like to help them utilise social media more efficiently with our software. Currently, SocialEnable manages more than 150 fanpages for top brands in Thailand,” Vachara said.
Recently, InVent invested Bt29 million in Computerlogy and Vachara said that with this investment, it would focus on developing a new service called SocialAd – a management tool for Facebook advertisements.
“It should be released by the end of this year.”
Apart from the new service, he said, Computerlogy would also expand the features of SocialEnable so that apart from Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Instagram, and Pantip.com it can also cover YouTube and other Web boards in Thailand.
By next year, it plans to offer SocialEnable and SocialAd in Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan and Indonesia.
“With InVent as a strategic partner, it will help us expand our social-advertising product in Asian markets and help us boost the abilities of our existing product, SocialEnable, as well as expand our team to deliver high-standard services that help our customers with their business achievements,” Vachara said.
Computerlogy is the only Thai software firm and one of the few firms in Asia to become a member of the Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer Programme. It also won the Facebook Developer World Hack 2012 in Jakarta and recently won a Thailand ICT Award in the communication-application category.
