The managerial jobs include marketing analysis and route plan manager, director of fares, pricing and revenue, director of sales and distribution, director of customer service, customer relations manager, operation manager, director of pilot management and flight standards, and operational training manager.
“WingSpan has been searching for qualified staff for THAI Smile as part of the airline’s expansion and separation plan,” a source said, adding that the process of separating the carrier from its parent Thai Airways International had been extended.
Montree Jumrieng, executive vice president for corporate strategy and sustainable development, said THAI earlier planned to move all THAI Smile operations from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Don Mueang International Airport by this month. (October) Moreover, the separation plan for THAI Smile should have been completed by this year, but has been rescheduled to next year because of THAI’s own recovery plans.
“The separation is expected to be complete in 2015. THAI Smile then will run its own strategies and business,” he said.
Under the plan, THAI will transfer 10 aircraft to THAI Smile and also consider giving it more international routes, he added. THAI Smile currently uses 10 Airbus A320s. When it receives more planes from the mother company, it should expand its network and frequencies on existing routes.
Myanmar is one potential international destination for THAI Smile, apart from Macau, where it already flies.
Although THAI Smile has not yet finished its major plan, but has finalised its winter flight schedule.
On October2 onward, Tomorrow it will unveil a new booking system under the new airline code “WE”, a new call centre, and new promotions. It is also set to open a lounge at Don Mueang Airport by the end of October this month.
