The plant is slated for completion late this year and commercial operations early next year.
Referring to the study of Euromonitor International, Chayanon Kittayachaweng, a group executive, said that Thailand now demands at least 14,800 tonnes a month of animal feed and the demand is on the rise.
The 46-rai new plant will run with the 4,000 tonnnes-per-month capacity in the first phase, to produce products for farms, pet shops, vet clinics and modern trade outlets. It will also serve as an original equipment manufacturer and produce for export markets.
"This is to respond to the market's demand for higher-quality food for their animals," he said.
