Koji Tezuka, president of Fuji Xerox (Thailand), said the company’s business direction this year was to reinforce its strategy not only for hardware, but also as a software-solutions provider to improve business clients’ working processes and efficiency. "‘Customer-centric’ is our key strategy for this year," he said.
The company this year is focusing on three areas: one-stop document-management solutions, cloud service, and Light Communication Tool (LCT) packages. "Cloud service is our focus in both the office and printing-service business," he said.
Sommart Bunyasunanond, vice president of Fuji Xerox (Thailand), said the company offered hardware, multi-function devices, and general and specific solutions.
Even though hardware still contributes the majority of revenue, at 85-90 per cent last year and likely a similar proportion this year, he said, software solutions are a high-potential business for the company. Currently, software solutions contribute around 10-15 per cent of the company’s revenue, compared with only 5 per cent in 2013. It is expected that within the next three to five years, software solutions will contribute most of the company’s revenue.
"Currently, customers focus on solutions that help address their working process rather than being concerned about printing cost per page and a device’s specifications. They need [document] solutions that help them improve their business efficiency," Sommart said.
For this reason, the company provides both general and specific solutions for document management to help businesses to increase their document-workflow efficiency.
The company offers the LCT package as the general solution, which is designed to help the staff of a business communicate with their customers and with one another.
"Documents in any file format, from any source, can be shared and communicated across devices, including fax machines, PCs, tablets, smartphones and printing devices, easily via our document-management solution," Sommart said.
