ADVANCED INFO Service has partnered with Forth Smart Service to waive service fees for AIS prepaid mobile-phone subscribers who top up their accounts by at least Bt50 at FSMART’s well-known Boonterm kiosks nationwide.

The joint promotional campaign came as the largest cellular operator and CP All, the operator of 7-Eleven convenience stores in Thailand, have yet to reach agreement on a new revenue-sharing rate for the sale of AIS One-2-Call refill cards at 7-Eleven stores.
CP All stopped ordering the AIS prepaid cards early this month. This caused a shortage of One-2-Call cards at many 7-Eleven stores.
The AIS-FSMART joint campaign will last until October 31 Monday. This privilege is being offered at only the Boonterm kiosks located in front of 7-Eleven stores.
Usually the charge at Boonterm kiosks is Bt2 per transaction on the top-up of any mobile phone refill cards.
Titipong Khiewpaisal, AIS senior vice president, said the co-promotional campaign with FSMART might be extended from Oct 31 Monday.
FSMART is a provider of online payment services for mobile-phone and other accounts and advertising services at its Boonterm kiosks.
CP All is the retail arm of Charoen Pokphand Group, which is also the major shareholder of True Corp. There are more than 8,000 7-Elevens nationwide.
As of the second quarter of this year, AIS had 39.4 million mobile-phone subscribers, of whom 85 per cent were prepaid.
A telecom-industry source said the mobile-phone operators were reportedly paying 5-7 per cent of refill sales at 7-Eleven to CP All.
Besides 7-Eleven, AIS has many channels nationwide where customers can pick up One-2-Call refill cards, including AIS customer service shops, Telewiz shops, Family Mart stores, post offices, and B2S bookstores. There are more than 10,000 outlets in total.
