The school believes its offering is particularly attractive to students from mainland China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
“The cost of studying at British schools in Thailand is 15-20 per cent cheaper than in the United Kingdom. The expense here is also lower than in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong,” Daniel Moore, chief executive officer and headmaster, said yesterday.
Exploiting the cost difference, the school aims to increase its intake of overseas students. Taiwan is also a target market.
The school also is seeking to attract more Thai students through its weekly boarding package.
Moore said weekly boarding was becoming increasingly popular for parents who were too busy to look after their children during the week days. The students return home on weekends.
The school has 400 students, with about 30 per cent coming from a mix of 20 nationalities. With this profile, the school is trying to strengthen Thailand as an education hub in the region.
