BLUE Finix Digital Co Ltd has partnered with Demeter Innovation Co Ltd on the launch of Finix TV, the first Thai-owned live streaming application to enter the market for digitally delivered entertainment.

The companies announced the official launch of the service yesterday.
The mobile application, which started webcasting commercially from the beginning of August, has been created under the marketing concept of “24/7 Stand by You”.
It brings what the partners call “a Liveteractive experience to viewers, presenting various exclusive entertainment contents for the new generation and social media users who love real-time entertainment”.
Blue Finix Digital chief executive officer Surasak Areesawangkit said Blue Finix began as a startup and was behind the development of many online platforms such as those for online games, virtual world offerings, and mobile and PC applications. It has worked with government offices and private companies such as Thailand's first virtual university, U-Town by ABAC University, and GMM Grammy Plc's G World 3D social network.
Finix TV is an online live-streaming platform which works on every device and system including Android, iOS and PC. Surasak said the company is confident that the Finix TV application can attract viewers to its platform.
The application was fully developed by Thai people and new features and items can be added freely to suit the needs of Thai users, unlike with overseas-developed applications that might be more difficult to localise.
“Our core viewers, or primary target, are young people aged between 15 and 30. In the initial stage covering the first 12 months, about 70 per cent of viewers will be male and 30 per cent female,” Surasak said
“However, we see a higher portion of female viewers coming in at a later stage due to a vast expansion in content partners, which will attract more females," he said, adding that in the next three to five years, the proportion of female viewers will increase to 40 per cent of the total.
“Thailand is our first aim for the launch of Finix TV as we are a Thai company and a Thai platform developer that created the platform ourselves, offers a variety of content from all our partners and with our vision to be the only Thai live-streaming platform. However, our business plan is to expand the Finix TV business within AEC and beyond, namely Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Japan,” said Surasak, referring to the Asean Economic Community.
The content on the Finix TV application is streamed live and divided into different "rooms", such as rooms for news, music, fashion, horoscope, comedy and travel.
Finix TV has attracted many partners. Recently, it entered into a partnership agreement to sell products from Spa Hakuhodo, a global company, featuring three content groups: social talent, KOL and professional content. Social talent includes online contents by more than 700 DJs and popular Internet idols who showcase their talents online by singing, performing music, doing comedy and presenting their lifestyles.
“Our ultimate goal is to become a consumer's ‘friend’ anywhere, anytime by providing them with an interactive approach and shifting the paradigm in entertainment where Finix TV offers live, original content from our professional content partners, well-known artists and celebrities.”
Sorrakrit Lathitham, managing director of Demeter Innovation, said that opportunities in the digital world are growing by leaps and bounds, and mobile internet usage and online communities are fast expanding.
Demeter's strategy is to fully engage with the application market to increase its business opportunities and to prepare for future expansion with help from digital innovations and the government's Thailand 4.0 technology model, Sorrakrit said.
