Civilian protest against seizing power by the military was scared off and dispered by firing warnings shots into the air around 1.30pm. Fourteen people total were arrested and around 2pm, the crowd gathered again for a protest in front of the Myawady Hotel, demanding those that were seized to be freed.&nbsp;

The police tried blocking the protestors but the crowd grew too big. The police then backed off and the protestors reached infront of the district police command station.&nbsp;

Protestors stayed in front of the station, later marching toward the Bayintnaung Market and around the city, before convening back in front of the station, demanding that they will no go back unless they have been freed.&nbsp;

The police let the aforementioned 14 go at around 6.45pm, after which the protestors dispersed.
