American cosmetic brand Too faced opens its first store in Thailand

“Why be pretty when you can be gorgeous?” asks a new advertising slogan aimed at Bangkok women who dream of looking as dazzling as California girls. Asking the question is Too Faced, a cosmetic brand from the United States, which recently demonstrated six gorgeous looks during the official launch of its store at Central Chidlom.
Cofounded in 1998 by Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson, Too Faced aims to put the glam back into glamour. Blandino set industry trends that were inspired by fearless femininity, iconic style and nostalgic beauty. His affordable luxuries have received acclaim and his bestselling bronzers, today a leader in the sunalternative category, were inspired by his sister’s fight against skin cancer. The safe “fake bake” has brought more awards and led to the creation of Love Lisa Melanoma Research Foundation Grant in support of skin cancer research.
Revolutionising the industry, Too Faces has gained recognition for launching the original lip plumper (“Lip Injection”), cuttingedge tubing mascaras (“Lash Injection” and “Pinpoint”), and the first glitter eye shadow (“Ooh & Aah”), all of them worldwide favourites
At the launch event, six gorgeous ladies were up on the catwalk presenting new looks and the hot makeup items of the season. Srikunya Sakdidej Bhanubhundu represented the “Party Girl Look” emphasising the beauty of the eyes and lips while keeping the skin smooth as porcelain. For foxy eyes, Thailand’s renowned makeup artist, Kamol Chatsen, gave Srikunya the final touches on stage, using Lashlight Mascara to thicken and lengthen her lashes.
With her fantastic cheekbones, Phimpisa Chirativat was selected for the “Supermodel Sculpt Look”. This natural look focuses on the facial features that are perfect for photographing from every angle. A tip is to prep skin with Face Liquid Foundation then conceal puffiness and add a glow with Absolutely Flawless Flexible Coverage Concealer.
Channel 3’s Piyawadee Maleenont presented the “Red Carpet Ready Look”. For maximum elegance, in addition to a glowing complexion, the eyes and lips must be emphasised. Before applying lipstick, dab Lip Insurance Lip Primer to promote suppleness and lock in lip colour. Siraprapa Chirabhundu, who has flawless healthy looking skin, was a natural for the “Look Good Naked” style. Kamol just used Too Faced Prime and Poreless Powder for a refined and perfect finish.
The event ended with shows by models Sutthikun Wangcharoentaweekul, the presenter of “Smoking Hot Look” and Marisa Anita, presenter of the “Bronze and Beautiful Look”. With the smoky eyes trend still going strong, the cosmetic brand introduced its Smoky Eye collection along with application instructions printed on lesson cards.
Marisa’s healthy tanned look was achieved by blending Sun Bunny Bronzer, a dualtoned bronzer, golden bronze, and classic Bronze using the BronzeBuki Brush.
