Spanish fashion house brings eco-elegant 'mix and match' style to Mega Bangna

Occupying over 2,200 square metres (that’s almost 2 rai) on the first floor at Mega Bangna, Zara has opened doors on a one-stop dressing up box for the whole family with clothing, swimwear, fragrances, accessories and jewellery.
For its seventh year in the fashion-frenzied Thai market, the Spanish fashion house has taken things to a new level. The “interactive” display presents products facing front, from top to bottom, offering shoppers easy ideas for mixing and matching everything outfits with bags, shoes and other accessories.
Along with this innovation, Zara has adopted eco-friendly practices across its operation. Focusing on quality and natural origins, the brand has used more natural fibres such as linen and cotton in its clothing collections, while increasing energy efficiency and sustainability with innovative lighting in stores.
The new store at Mega Bangna, like all Zara stores worldwide, subscribes to eco-protection and energy efficiency measures stipulated in the group’s Sustainability Inditex plan, with the goal of reducing its overall carbon footprint by 10 per cent by 2015 and 20 per cent by 2020. The store’s arrangement captures the essence of Zara’s new identity by ditching superfluous flourishes.
Neutral and uncluttered spaces enhance the themes underpinning the collections, which come to life in clean-cut and functional surroundings. The idea is not simply to exhibit the clothing but also to create an environment which brings out the best in the collection by setting it against the right backdrop: lighting, materials, shapes. Products are organised into cubes which serve as dressing rooms, intimate areas in which the shopper can create a personal look building from the ideas put forward by the brand.
