The 15th Green Concert, “Club Friday: Based on a True Story”, staged last weekend at Royal Paragon Hall, lasted for four hours and had the audience both laughing and crying as it narrated real-life love stories.

“Life carries on thanks to the support I’ve received from everyone. The pain just lasted a while. I am proud to be a soldier of His Majesty the King, Many people have suffered much more than I. Today, my family is right besides me. We may not be rich but we are happy,” he said.
Eakachai “Eakky” Aursangkomset was next up on stage, singing “Kon Tee Ter Mai Yom Rub”, a hit from the 1990s. To the delight of his fans, he was joined by his former UHT bandmates Phuthanate “Captain” Hongmanop and Wuttisit “Tem” Suebsuwan for “Young Yin Dee Krub Pheun”.

Pongkul returned to the stage via a video presentation and explained how he had ignored his father for much of his adult life, never bothering to remember his birthday. Last year, his dad fell sick with cancer and Pongkul was heartbroken at the time he had wasted. As the screen faded to black, Pongkul sang “Ja Dai Mai Lerm Kan” with tears streaming down his face.
In the final part of the show, Moderndog’s Thanachai “Pod” Ujjin sang “Khein Tung Kon Bom Fha” and “Jot Mai Jak Khwam Ngao”.
“Today, we have come together to learn from real experiences. The stories we have heard tell us that love can bring happiness. We have seen pain too. But we can learn from these tales and live more carefully. When we are apart, we will remember the value of being together.
"Thank you Club Friday for bringing us all here. Today, we all have contributed to the Sithanya Hospital Foundation too,” Pod said.
DJ Napaporn echoed his sentiments. “This been a very exciting night. Club Friday has made a long journey on the road to where we are today. But it still like the first day we met. We can talk about all aspects of love.”
