Fashion photographer and avid dharma practitioner Punsiri Siriwetchapun teams up with three fellow artists for the devotional exhibition “No Absolute Truth in the Universe” at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre.
Opening at 6pm on Friday on the BACC’s fourth floor, the show features Punsiri’s stark black and white images of roads leading to the Himalayan mountain peaks and the edge of the universe. Kesvita Rotpan offers her human-figure statues and fantastic paintings. Brother artists Chaiyo and Ongart Loeamornpagsin contribute installations.
The show runs until February 17. For more details, visit www.BACC.or.th.
Greyhound skin
Oscar Wilde, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway and Henri Matisse are among the literary and art geniuses who penned their thoughts and sketches into little black notebooks, and it’s in their creative spirit that fashion label Greyhound Original offers its own branded Moleskine notebook.
The Moleskine’s signature black cover and elastic page-holder are still the basis for the special-edition design, which adds a gold-embossed running Greyhound logo. A special strap binding adds more playful Greyhound style, and on the inside cover, there’s a drawing of a hound plus dripping-paint designs.
There are two sizes – the lined pocket notebook and a large notebook with plain paper.
Jot your ideas in one yourself, after purchase from Greyhound boutiques or online at www.Greyhound.co.th.
Messi’s golden years
To celebrate Argentine footballer Leo Messi’s fourth consecutive Fifa Ballon d’Or honour – a feat no other player in history has achieved – sportswear brand Adidas commissioned illustrator Richard Swarbrick to create an animated short film of the star.
It’s a highlight reel of Messi’s greatest goals from the past four years, celebrating a golden era of majestic, thrilling and balletic football.
Appropriately, Messi is depicted in golden shades. Swarbrick hand-painted each frame, and then used Photoshop and After Effects to put the graphics into motion.
The video has been watched 3.5 million times. Add to that number yourself by watching it on the AdidasFootballTV YouTube channel.
